A PARTNERSHIP IN MINISTRY
Immanuel Christian School for the Deaf operates under the auspices of Deaf Ministries International (registered in Norway, Australia and the United States). DMI underwrites various ministries to the Deaf around the world. Agape Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational, full gospel church in Brattleboro, VT USA. Members and friends of the Agape Christian Fellowship have agreed to team with Deaf Ministries in an effort to develop a consistent support base for the children at Immanuel Christian School for the Deaf.
The needs of the school are significant and there are ongoing projects to further develop the infrastructure of the school such as clean water, sanitary toilet facilities, better equipped cooking facilities and a vocational program which will also improve the economic viability of the school. But FIRST, we need to solidify the support base for the school and that can best be done by monthly sponsorships.
SPEAKING UP FOR THOSE WHO CAN’T
Most of the children at Immanuel are currently sponsored by a group or individual in Australia for $35.00 USD a month. Currently, the school is realizing about 50% of their monthly operating needs. Some of the staff have been using their meager salary to buy food and other necessities.
When we find US counterparts for the Australian sponsors for each child then the basic operating expenses of the school will be met.
Please understand, we’re not talking about books fancy dresses, and designer backpacks - we are talking about food, blankets, and medical care. Your monthly sponsorship can mean the difference between eating and not eating, or having a place to sleep or not. These are serious issues which require people with a serious commitment. We understand that $420.00 a year is a lot of money in these difficult economic times. Imagine though, that you are a bright and engaging five year old. But you are deaf with no mom or dad and little hope for the future. Your sacrifice can help change that.

All Sponsorship Donations will be sent directly to Deaf Ministries International’s U.S. office. Once you have chosen a child, all information will be forwarded to DMI and DMI will receive your donations, communicate with Newsletters and updates concerning the school and your sponsored child.
